What is SpeedFun Ribelle?
SpeedFun RIBELLE is an electronic and intelligent e-bike fastener remover that does not require any external power.
It is designed for YAMAHA PW 2016-17-18-20 engines to circumvent the speed block at 25 kmH, allowing active assistance to be increased up to speeds that can exceed 60 KmH by removing e-bike stops (info) making full use of the engine’s potential. The Yamaha PW engine for which Ribelle is suitable is characterized by the 4 assistance levels that can be set on the display: eco+ (see photo above), eco, std and hight. There is also a USB socket on the handlebar remote control.
SpeedFun RIBELLE always shows real speed and distance on the display of your Ebike even with speed unlock activated.
SpeedFun RIBELLE is equipped with a self-learning system to memorize all the parameters of the ebike on which it is mounted. So no setting is necessary. Just a short opening sequence and then you can just think about having fun!
Speedup RIBELLE can be mounted very simply by placing it between the speed sensor and the motor and between the displays and the motor using original connectors which do not alter the electrical resistance and water tightness characteristics.
Ribelle’s rear wheel rpm avoidance system comes into operation only when 16 kmH is reached, progressively reducing the communication of wheel rpm to the engine with a particular algorithm without the cyclist feeling any difference in assistance. It does not intervene in any way at low speeds. This is an important measure designed to not vary the intervention parameters of the engine when restarting and during important climbs (which are the critical and most delicate moments for an engine), thus leaving the parameters studied and optimized by the manufacturer intact, and thus avoiding power losses, failures or “hiccups” in operation which instead occur with release systems from other manufacturers.
SpeedFun RIBELLE can be activated and deactivated with a simple sequence of buttons from the control on the handlebar of the e-bike. Feedback is shown on the display whenever the activation or deactivation status is changed.
RIBELLE allows the millimetric setting of the wheel circumference starting from 20″ for an extremely precise calculation of speed and distance even if the tire were to be replaced with one of a different section from the original. Normally this possibility is not offered by the original Yamaha system.
ATTENTION, Ribelle can be installed with the following limitations:
1: Cannot be mounted on Haibike models with E:I-Shock electronic shock absorber system
2: It is not suitable for Yamaha Sinc Drive engines mounted on Giant brand bicycles
3. It is not suitable for Yamaha PW-X and PW-SE engines
