What is the SpeedFun Ribelle e-bike tuning kit for Specialized 3.1 motors?

The Ribelle tuning device for Specialized 3.1 motors is designed to electronically manipulate the rear wheel’s rotational speed and to signal to the motor a speed that is always below 25 km/h, thereby achieving a very high actual speed whilst the motor is active. The maximum speed limit will therefore be determined by the motor’s power combined with the power generated by the rider’s legs (info).

This speed unlocking device is compatible solely and exclusively with Specialized e-bikes fitted with the Specialized 3.1 and MasterMind T3 motors.

The SpeedFun Ribelle e-bike tuning kit always displays both the actual speed and distance travelled on the screen and can be activated or deactivated by pressing a simple sequence of buttons directly on the e-bike’s handlebar control. It is also possible to set the maximum speed beyond which the motor will cease assistance.

It is fitted with original connectors, meaning no physical modifications to the e-bike are required and the electrical resistance and water resistance characteristics remain unaffected.

Thanks to its special operating algorithm, SpeedFun Ribelle activates when the speed reaches 16 km/h without the rider noticing any difference in assistance. It does not intervene in any way at low speeds. This important feature has been implemented to prevent power loss, dropouts or “jerky” operation.

IMPORTANT!

This device is not compatible with Specialized Gen 1, Gen 2 or Gen 3 e-bikes fitted with a TCU01 (blue LED), TCU01 (Mastermind) or TCD.
This device is not compatible with Specialized e-bikes fitted with a motor-controlled electronic gear system.
