The 2022 Specialized Turbo Levo: a masterpiece… but it’s limited to 25 km/h!
Whereas up until the previous series the only thing missing from a Specialized was a display, this has now been resolved. The new MasterMind TCU (code TCU02) manages, with its simplicity, to display all the information strictly necessary for the cyclist and, at the same time, does not ‘spoil’ the clean, modern lines of the Turbo Levo e-bike.
Obviously, an e-bike of this calibre deserves proper tuning. We have, in fact, developed the Ribelle for Specialized Turbo Levo specifically for this e-bike. A tuning kit that, for the first time, does not need to be installed in the motor area (which is often dirty and takes far too long to ‘dismantle’ to reach the connectors) but directly onto the MasterMind TCU.

A simple product that will allow you to enjoy this fantastic e-bike and its superb Brose S-Mag motor, reaching speeds of over 60 km/h. The benefits of this new tuning kit include:

Installazione del tuning
1. Remove the screw securing the TCU
Using a Torx xx key, unscrew the screw securing the TCU to the chassis. Once this is done, remove the TCU.
2. Install the SpeedFun Ribelle tuning kit
Locate the connector that runs from the TCU to the engine (it is the only one that, once opened, will have a green interior). Once located, disconnect the two connectors; to do this, pull the two connectors in opposite directions (IMPORTANT! Do not twist them, otherwise there is a risk of damaging the internal pins).
Now connect the SpeedFun Ribelle unlocking device between the TCU and the engine.
3. Place the device back in the frame and reinstall the TCU
Insert the device and its cables into the chassis (taking care not to bend them too much). Once this is done, simply reinstall the TCU.
Enabling and disabling tuning
Tuning activation (speed unlocked above 25 km/h)
To activate the SpeedFun Ribelle tuning, you need to switch on the e-bike and enter the sequence – + – + using the buttons used to adjust the assistance level.
If the sequence has been entered correctly, you will see the battery indicator jump from approximately 30% to approximately 80%, indicating that the speed has now been unlocked. This animation lasts 3–5 seconds and, once complete, the actual battery charge level will be displayed.
You must now switch the e-bike off and on again to be able to ride with assistance active at speeds exceeding 25 km/h.
Tuning disabled (speed limited to 25 km/h)
To activate the SpeedFun Ribelle tuning, you need to switch on the e-bike and enter the sequence – + – + using the buttons used to adjust the assistance level.
If the sequence has been carried out correctly, you will see the battery indicator drop from approximately 80% to approximately 30%, indicating that the speed has now been locked. The e-bike is now in its original state. This animation lasts 3–5 seconds and, once complete, the actual battery charge level will be displayed.
You must now switch the e-bike off and on again.

Although installation is really straightforward and anyone can do it, we’ve decided to make a video as well. We’ll walk you through all the steps involved in installing the device and switching it on and off.

Conclusions
Currently, the SpeedFun tuning kit for the 2022 Specialized Turbo Levo is the only device on the market that allows you to view real-time data on the 2022 MasterMind TCU. In our opinion, an e-bike equipped with a display deserves to show the correct data… otherwise, what’s the point!
